Having progressed in this world, once called a “strange new world” with “unprecedented change, disruption and uncertainty”, and now one where we are told of the “new normal”, the only thing we still know for sure is that we don’t know what will happen next.

You, like us here at Astrum Consultants, would have been inundated with all types of messages of concern, news and “look at me” stories, some from some of the biggest organisations we deal with, some from the Government and some from other sources that we didn’t realise already had our email addresses.

Below are some useful links to current information sources. Look here for information on what the Government is doing and what assistance you may be able to apply for:

Australian Federal Government

Click here to see the Australian Federal Government page with current information on COVID-19. It provides information on the virus, what to do to safeguard your own health (and that of the people around you), the vaccination and also outlines the Government Aid available.

Centrelink – Jobseeker & Jobkeeper payments

The Government, through Centrelink, has initiated and enhanced certain support packages to those affected by the virus. Unfortunately, the Coronavirus supplement has come to an end.

People who are unemployed will continue to look at the Jobseeker assistance (formerly Newstart).

Unfortunately, the Jobkeeper assistance has ended.

Remember, in most instances, you will need to be set up with a myGov account. If you don’t have one yet, go here. Once done, you can set up your Centrelink online account or Customer Reference Number (CRN) via myGov.

Australian Taxation Office

The ATO have provided information about ATO measures and tailored support during COVID-19. Click here to see the current advice.

The Treasury

The Treasury has released this page which outlines the Economic Aid available. It focuses on the Government Aid available to Individuals, Small Businesses and steps being taken to ensure funds are available to those that need it.

State Government Support

The various State Governments have also released their own assistance packages. The WA Government page can be found here.

These pages will continue to be updated as the situation evolves. If any of the above links do not work, let me know via our “Contact Us” page. I will endeavour to ensure this page is kept up to date and to ensure the Links are to the most current advice.

As always, we at Astrum Consultants want to let you know that we are here for you and will always try to help you wherever and however we can.

Stay safe, stay strong and stay healthy!
